Ron began his career in the jewelry industry back in 1989 by enrolling at Stewart’s International School for Jewelers. After completing the prescribed courses, he continued his education at The Gemological Institute of America, where he received a Graduate Gemologist Diploma.
Continuing the Fine Tradition of Jewelry Sales and Services
Ron was hired by Bartikowsky Jewelers as a Sales Associate/Repair Technician; he worked his way quickly up the ladder, becoming a Bench Jeweler. After a few years of hard work he was given the title of Appraiser/Estate Buyer, becoming one of the youngest workers at Bartikowsky with that title.
In 2001, Ron was given the opportunity to become a Rolex-Trained Watchmaker by attending their facility in Lititz, PA. After completion of his Rolex training, Ron serviced all Rolex watches brought into the store for the next 12 years, along with having a management position.
When Bartikowsky Jewelers closed in the early part of 2013, after being open for 125 years, Ron decided to open RACO Watch and Jewelry with his partner Carol Hannon. Carol worked at Bartikowsky Jewelers for 26 years as a Sales Associate and a Repair Technician.
